The Department of Language and Communication of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Applied Sciences in Konin, Poland is pleased to invite abstracts of papers relevant, but not restricted to the proposed topics:
CONFERENCE TOPICS
- cultural and language contacts from synchronic and diachronic perspectives;
- language, cognition, and culture interaction – cultural conceptualizations and cognitive processes;
- literature and culture in contact;
- cultural phenomena in digital discourses (from Facebook to TikTok; from hate speech to memes; gaming and multimodality);
- translation and localization practices;
- culture-specificity of political discourses;
- educational and practical aspects of bilingualism and multilingualism;
- translator training in the multicultural and technology-driven world;
- specialized languages and use
Languages of the presentations are English and Polish.
Refereed and accepted post-conference articles will be published in collective volumes by international publishers. The language of publications is English.
